We are members of the Swarthmore college community looking to connect the Swarthmore borough and college community through a greater appreciation of the woods and all it has to offer. By hosting a Crum Woods Extravaganza, we are hoping to begin fostering this connection while also collecting pictures and gaining a better understanding of the types of species that exist in our woods.

Who is invited...

Who we are...

The goal of our event is to spread as much love for the Crum Woods and nature as possible! This means that we are hoping to have attendance from people of all ages and from all around the Swarthmore community! Whether you hike in the Crum everyday or avoid the outdoors as much as possible, we have events and activities from everyone! Check out our events page for more information and an RSVP is much appreciated if you plan to attend.

Parking and assistance

Because parking is limited, it would be best if you could take advantage of the outdoors and walk over to the Crum Henge in the Crum Woods. If you are parking, please plan to park behind the Swarthmore College Inn or near the Fieldhouse past the Inn parking lot.  We will have signs from the Swarthmore Inn parking lot guiding people to Crum Henge and we plan on having golf carts available to shuttle people down who may have difficulty walking but would still like to attend! If any other accommodations are needed or if you have any questions, please e-mail Ilovethecrum@gmail.com prior to the day of the event.

Volunteers

To make this event as successful as possible, we would love the help of anyone who may have expertise in the woods or who would like to get involved.Whether you are a fungi expert and would like to lead a tour or would just like to lend a helping hand, please fill out this form for ways to get involved.
